Who we are

Based in the centre of Cambridge, we have been at the heart of Cambridge’s Anglo- French community since 1982. Providing French lessons and support to the local community for over 35 years!

All of our teachers are FFL (French as a Foreign language) trained whose continuous training ensures that they remain at the top of their field.

We offer first-rate teaching and as the official DELF/DALF examination centre for Cambridge, we have all the tools needed to boost your French to the next level!

We are continually forging links with local businesses, big and small as well as with educational establishments including the Cambridge University Modern and Medieval languages department, schools and colleges.

Overcoming the challenges presented to us by COVID 19, we have embraced the gift of Zoom and Microsoft Teams to keep our cultural events and classes constantly available.

From French courses to cultural events, the international network of the Alliances Française and Instituts Français will make you feel as though France is just around the corner. With our use of online platforms to keep you safe and constantly learning, there is always something for you to do!

So, whether you’re stuck for words after “Bonjour,” want to discover the latest French cinema treats, or tick a few French classics off your reading list, we’ll extend our warmest French welcome and show you around your local French language centre, library, or cultural venue. Each year, thousands of people are attracted by the quality of our service, so why not give us a go?

We are online and eager to help you learn something new!
