DELF / DALF -Diplomas

DELF and DALF diplomas are awarded by the French Ministry of Education, recognised internationally and valid for life.

There are 6 different exam levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) depending on a candidate's language skills.

The exam takes places on-site at the Alliance Française Cambridge, 1 Red Cross Lane, CB2 0QU.
You will receive your results three months after the end of your exam session.
Please note that official diplomas are to be collected in our premises six months after the end of your exam session.

Cancellations will not be refunded in full or in part.

The administrative examination management platform of the DELF and DALF is responding to a cyber security issue which may cause delays in delivering the results.

Frequently Asked Questions

What score do I need to pass?

To pass your DELF or DALF diploma, you need to obtain at least 50% as well as a minimum of 5/25 for each test (listening, writing, speaking and reading).

How long does it take to receive my diploma?

Note that we cannot send diplomas by post. Diploma collection is at Alliance Française Cambridge, 1 Red Cross Lane CB2 0QU. It usually takes 6 months for diplomas to be sent from Paris.

What should I bring for the exam?

a valid form of ID (passport, driving licence, national ID card - please note bank / gym / membership / student cards will not be accepted).
your statement of entry (printed or digital).
a bottle of water
black or blue pens (no pen will be provided – please note candidates must write in blue or black ink on their exam paper).
a watch to check the time between each test (remember that your phone will be switched off).
