  • This course will help you increase your knowledge about Francophone cultures, go beyond stereotypes and get a better understanding of French contemporary society.

Thematic courses
Designed to help students discuss everyday topics and interact informally with French speakers.

- Autumn 2024: Shopping (how to: discuss money, haggle, ask informal questions, and make comparisons)
- Winter 2024: Everyday interactions (how to: make phone calls, ask someone to do something, discuss technical problems, and request services)
- Spring 2025: Emotions (how to: offer congratulations, console someone, and express surprise and regret)
- Summer 2025: Opinions (how to: ask for and give advice, ask for and give an opinion, and talk about your experiences)

This course is designed for students who can speak about a variety of topics. You will discuss subjects such as the news, literature, and French and francophone culture, as well as practice creative writing and translation skills.
