🎅\Les recettes de l’Alliance Française Cambridge/🎅

Gingerbread time!

You will need :
-200g flour
-200g honey
-25g brown sugar
-25g soft butter
-1 teaspoon of baking soda
-1 egg
-10cl milk
-1 tbsp gingerbread spices
-15 turns of freshly ground pepper

Step 1: Cut the butter into pieces. Heat the milk, honey and butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, sugar and spices. Then add the egg and milk and mix until smooth. Leave to stand for 4 hours outside the fridge. If you are using baking powder, the rest is not necessary.

Step 3: Preheat the oven to 170°C. Mix the dough one last time. Pour the dough into a buttered and floured cake tin and bake for 40-45 minutes. Leave to cool and eat, if possible, the next day.
